1. US SEC "Certain Staking Activities, Will Not Be Subject to Securities Act"
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) said in an official statement on Aug. 5 that liquidity staking of certain cryptocurrencies is not classified as a securities activity as part of clear cryptocurrency regulatory guidelines. The SEC explained that the form in which cryptocurrency holders deposit and receive compensation for cryptocurrency in the liquidity staking protocol due to the 1933 Securities Act and 1934 Securities Act will not be classified as securities.

2. Brazil House of Representatives Heralds Discussion of Government's Bitcoin-Buying Bill
The Brazilian House of Representatives said on its official website on Aug. 5 that it will discuss a bill to allow government-level Bitcoin (BTC) buying. The Brazilian House of Representatives said on the 20th that it will hold an official hearing and invite representatives of the Brazilian Central Bank, Brazil's Ministry of Finance, cryptocurrency advocacy association, fintech companies and banking industry to discuss the legislation of the Bitcoin buying bill.

3. Philippine SEC Warns Global Exchanges of Disruptions...OKX, Bybit, Kraken Included
In an official statement on Aug. 5, the Philippines SEC announced recommendations for 10 cryptocurrency exchanges operating without licenses in the country. Exchanges that received a cease-and-desist warning issued by the Philippine SEC included OKX, Buybit, KuCoin, Kraken, MEXC, Bitget, Pemex, CoinEX, BitMart and Polonix.

4. Vitalik Buterin Proposes Simplifying Ethereum Transaction Fees
Vitalik Buterin, founder of Ethereum, proposed an upgrade plan 'EIP-7999' on Aug. 5 to reduce transaction fees within the Ethereum network. Buterin's proposed EIP-7999 contains the content that users pay a single transaction fee for several tasks.
