1. U.S. Ethereum Spot ETF Sends Net Inflow For 8th Week in a Row
Ethereum(ETH) spot exchange-traded funds(ETF) in the U.S. recorded net inflow for eight consecutive weeks. Glassnode, an on-chain analysis platform, said in a report published on Jul. 8 that Ethereum spot ETFs in the U.S. have been net inflow since mid-May, and about 61,000 Ethereum were net inflows last week. Glassnode explained that the net inflow of Ethereum spot ETFs is due to the demand from U.S. institutional investors.
2. Tether Saves 80 Tons of Gold..."Gold Integration into Reserves Will Continue"
Tether, the issuer of the largest stablecoin Tether (USDT), has been found to have stored about 80 tons of gold in a Swiss safe. Bloomberg reported on Jul. 9 that Tether purchased 0.3 tons of additional gold earlier this year, storing a total of 80 tons of gold in a Swiss safe, and Tether's CEO expressed his intention to buy additional gold.
3. Japanese Company "CEO and Management Salary, Payment in Bitcoin"
RemixPoint, an energy company based in Tokyo, Japan, has announced that it will pay the salaries of its CEO and key executives in Bitcoin(BTC). Takashi Tashiro CEO said in an official statement on Jul. 8 that he and key executives will be paid in Bitcoin as part of realizing the corporate financial strategy. According to the explanation, tax-related processing will be handled in Japanese yen, and after tax processing, Bitcoin will be bought at the market price with yen equivalent to the full amount of remuneration and transferred to their respective wallets.
