A U.S. court on Jun. 27 rejected a request for a lawsuit between Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC). On Jun. 12, Ripple and the SEC asked a U.S. court to dismiss a $125 million fine for Ripple and a ruling that defines XRP's institutional sales as securities. Judge Torres rejected both sides' requests, pointing out that XRP's institutional sales still have unresolved issues. The U.S. court rejected Ripple's request for an agreement with the SEC once last month.

The U.S. Senate will announce the 'CLARITY bill', a plan to regulate the structure of the cryptocurrency market before the Senate recess in August. In an official statement on Jun. 26, Tim Scott, chairman of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, announced that Cynthia Lummis, a member of the Digital Assets Subcommittee of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, is currently completing the CLARITY bill. Scott explained that the CLARITY bill will be a key bill to regulate the overall cryptocurrency market structure.
