1. Morgan Stanley To Launch Crypto Spot Trading Service
Morgan Stanley is set to launch a cryptocurrency spot transaction service, including Bitcoin(BTC), through its subsidiary 'E-Trade'. Bloomberg reported in a testimony from sources on May. 1 that Morgan Stanley is preparing to launch a cryptocurrency spot transaction service for individual customers by next year.

2. Tether's Q1 Net Profit Breaks $1 Billion..."A Quarter of Last Year's"
It was found that Tether's net profit barely exceeded $1 billion in the first quarter of 2025. Tether announced on May. 1 that Tether's net profit in 2025 exceeded $1 billion in a financial report prepared by its financial firm BDO. Tether's net profit fell by more than four minutes compared to $4.52 billion recorded in the first quarter of 2024.

3. Canary Capital Submits Staking Permitted Say Spot ETF Application
Canarae Capital, an asset management company, submitted an application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) on May. 1 to approve the SEI spot exchange fund(ETF). The Sei spot ETF submitted by Canary Capital contains provisions to provide staking profits to investors.

4. Tether CEO "Suspending EU 'Mika' Registration"
On May. 1, Paolo Ardoino Tether CEO said at the Token 2049 conference that he would not register 'Mika', a European Union(EU) integrated cryptocurrency regulation. He pointed to the Mika clause that requires about 60% of the stable coin reserves to be deposited in banks in the EU region, explaining that Mika registration is dangerous depending on the risk of bankruptcy of banks in the EU region.
