Major News Headlines for Today

1. "Ripple Fails to Take Over Circle"
It was revealed that Ripple attempted to acquire USDC issuer Circle, but failed. Bloomberg reported on Apr. 30 that Ripple offered a bid of about $4 to $5 billion for the acquisition of Circle, but the bid was rejected with a low amount. According to the report, Ripple's attempt to acquire Circle came less than a month after Circle announced its initial public offering(IPO).

2. Bloomberg "Predicting 90% Chance of Approving Solana Spot ETFs This Year"
Bloomberg Intelligence predicted on Apr. 30 that the approval probability of Solana(SOL) spot exchange-traded fund(ETF) is about 90% this year through its official X account. Earlier in February, Bloomberg Intelligence pointed out the possibility of approval of Solana spot ETF at about 70%.

3. U.S. Treasury Department "Stablecoin Hits Market Cap of $2 Trillion in 2028"
In a report published by the U.S. Treasury Department on Apr. 30, it predicted that the market capitalization of stablecoins will hit about $2 trillion in 2028 due to the growth of the cryptocurrency industry.

4. Tether "Planning to Enter U.S. Market within This Year"
Tether, the world's largest stablecoin issuer, has announced that it will enter the U.S. market within this year following progress in regulations on stablecoins in the U.S. In an interview with CNBC on Apr. 30, CEO Paolo Ardoino explained that Tether is the largest exporter of the U.S. dollar and will enter the U.S. market through smooth dialogue with U.S. regulators.
