1. Mercari Starts XRP Payment Support
Mercoin, a subsidiary of Japan's largest used trading platform Mercari, added XRP to the payment method on the platform on Apr. 24. Earlier, Mercoin is a cryptocurrency trading app linked to Mercari, allowing Bitcoin(BTC) and Ethereum(ETH) payments, and adding XRP as a cryptocurrency three times to the payment method. Mercoin users can purchase XRP from 1 yen and use the purchased XRP as a payment method within Mercari.

2. Fidelity "Bitcoin Holdings on Exchange, 7-Year Low on Institutional Buying"
In a report published by global asset manager Fidelity on Apr. 24, it reported that the amount of bitcoin held in the cryptocurrency exchange reached 2.6 million, the lowest since 2018. Fidelity explained that many institutional investors, including listed companies in the U.S., bought Bitcoin with a scary momentum this year, and the amount of bitcoin held in the exchange fell sharply.

3. Tether Expands Up To 14% Stake In Juventus
Tether, the world's largest stablecoin issuer, expanded its stake in Juventus, a prestigious Italian soccer club, to about 14% on Apr. 24. Tether acquired an 8.2% stake in Juventus in February and secured an additional 6.18% stake in Juventus through its investment division on Apr. 24.

4. Bitcoin Ranked 5th in World Assets Amid Big Tech Fall
Bitcoin's market capitalization ranked fifth in the world's assets on Apr. 24 as Bitcoin succeeded in rising prices amid the recent decline in U.S. big tech stocks.

5. New SEC Chairman Announces His First Public Speech on Apr. 25
Paul Atkins, chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC), will deliver his first public speech since taking office on Apr. 25. Atkins said he will make a public speech based on the contents of the meeting after the SEC meeting on Apr. 25.
